Malta Gaming Authority Takes Action Against AMGO iGaming Malta

Share

In a decisive move, AMGO iGaming Malta received a notice of license revocation from the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA). The gaming corporation was found to have violated three major regulations, as reported by the regulatory agency, which indicated a serious failure to follow the rules.

Due to AMGO iGaming Malta’s noncompliance with several regulatory requirements, the MGA has decided to serve a notice of license revocation. These standards have been broken by the corporation, raising questions about the reliability of its operations.

The company’s failure to pay the yearly licensing fee for the period of November 22, 2022, to November 22, 2023, is the major offense. AMGO iGaming Malta owes the sum of €13,915.12 (about $14,700) and has not received payment for its outstanding commitments. The Gaming License Fee Regulations’ Regulation 3 (1) (b) is broken by this nonpayment.

Non-payment of Compliance Contribution Fees

Furthermore, as mandated by both Regulation 6 and Regulation 3 (1) (a) of the Gaming License costs laws, the licensee has neglected to pay the compliance contribution costs. This is a violation that calls into question the MGA’s established regulatory structure.

The MGA’s third main complaint is the company’s seeming inability to fulfill its obligations to participants on schedule. One of the most important components of responsible gaming, Article 38 of the Player Protection Directive, may have been broken by this lapse.

Now, AMGO iGaming Malta has 20 days to react in writing to the MGA, addressing the infractions and offering convincing arguments as to why the regulator shouldn’t cancel its license. This is the company’s chance to justify its conduct and corrective steps.

The MGA has asked the negligent gaming operator to pay up all outstanding debts as soon as possible. The regulator has warned that the operator would pay interest at the relevant rate under the Income Tax Rules if it does not make its payment obligations on time.

The MGA has reaffirmed that, should the operator neglect to communicate with the regulator as necessary, license revocation for AMGO iGaming Malta remains an option. The regulatory agency has also emphasized that it has the power to take whatever action is required to resolve the unpaid payments.

The MGA’s decisive action serves as a reminder of how crucial it is for the gaming sector to uphold the highest levels of compliance and comply with regulatory requirements.
