Share

On March 5 and 6, 2024, the worldwide gaming industry will come together for the Hamburg Games Conference (HGC) with the topic ‘Invest in Games’. In light of the difficulties facing the gaming industry, the conference seeks to give businesses and entrepreneurs practical advice on how to create a strong online presence. Among the notable speakers are Timm Geyer, CEO of Geyer Media Consult, Are Mack Growen, partner at London Venture Partners, James Batchelor, editor-in-chief of GamesIndustry.biz, Sophie Vo, creator of Rise and Play, and co-founder of Thunderful Group Brjann Sigurgeirsson. Finding new company possibilities and obtaining funding are the main priorities.

Diverse Expertise and Insightful Topics

More than 500 participants from 26 nations attended the HGC 2023. With two conference days filled with exclusive keynotes, panels, roundtables, networking, and matchmaking, the next event at the Altonaer Museum promises to be an exciting environment. On two stages, eminent speakers will discuss important investment subjects. The subjects covered include “Building and maintaining a successful gaming brand,” “Cultural due diligence in M&A,” “What’s definitely not the future of game development?”, “Game studios’ options in difficult situations,” and “Raising venture capital: How to approach a VC.” The deadline for submitting more speakers for HGC 2024 is December 4.

At the Altonaer Museum, the HGC 2024 program offers unique live experiences through special presentations and panels. Insights into current investment themes and ideal settings for business meetings and B2B matching will be imparted to attendees. The Hamburg Game Conference (HGC) is a hub for intense networking and matching, with significant backing from Hamburg’s gaming industries. An exhibition space will be available during the conference for businesses and gaming studios to display their goods and games.

At 349 euros, business tickets include access to the two-day conference schedule as well as the opportunity to meet other attendees and make useful contacts. Start-up tickets, which enable recently established firms to fully engage in the conference program and matchmaking, are also offered at a discounted price of 199 euros.

The German Creative Economy Summit, hosted by the Hamburg Kreativ Gesellschaft, is slated for March 7, right next to the Hamburg Games Conference. With a varied schedule of keynotes, debates, and workshops, this event showcases Germany’s creative industry.
