Epic Games控告Google Play垄断了程序分销和支付市场，美国加利福尼亚州联邦陪审团裁定有罪，Google为上述判决提出异议。
加利福尼亚州陪审团裁定了Google Play违反反竞争行为肆意行使垄断权，包括：Google在Android应用分发市场和应用内支付服务市场拥有垄断地位、Google在市场上用了不正当竞争行为、Google Play应用商店和Google支付服务之间存在非法的捆绑关系和其分销协议、Google内部项目“Project Hug”，即通过交易要求20家开发商不创建与Google Play竞争的应用商店，存在不正当竞争行为。
Google政府事务和公共政策副总裁Wilson White反驳指：“Android和Google Play提供了比任何其他主要移动平台更多的选择和开放性，审判清楚地表明，我们与苹果及其App Store以及Android设备上的其他应用商店竞争激烈。”
