Online casino operator LeoVegas has supposedly evacuated its offices after receiving bomb threats. According to certain sources, the company’s offices in Malta and Newcastle had to be evacuated on Thursday afternoon after an unknown person made the threats.

Those rumours are backed up by local news reports in Malta. The Malta Independent stated that police evacuated employees and visitors from the Plaza Shopping Complex in Sliema, Malta at around 4pm local time. LeoVegas’s office sits on the seventh floor of this building.

Police cordoned off the adjoining street and told nearby shops to evacuate

Maltese officers then sent in a team from the Explosive Ordinance Department to comb the building for an explosive device. Police cordoned off the adjoining street and told nearby shops to evacuate and close shutters. They have so far not provided an update regarding the situation.

Despite sources suggesting LeoVegas also had to evacuate in Newcastle, there is no reporting on that situation in local news.

VegasSlotsOnline News has reached out to LeoVegas for confirmation.
