DEA 沒收加密貨幣創紀錄
據司法部公告，40 歲毒販 Banmeet Singh 去年從英國引渡至美國，遭指控在 2012 至 2017 年期間透過 Silk Road、Alpha Bay、Hansa、Dream Market 等暗網市場，向美國各州用戶販售海洛因、可卡因、芬太尼等藥品。
Banmeet Singh 至少控制著 8 個配貨中心，於本月 26 日在俄州聯邦法院承認意圖分發受管制藥品、共謀洗錢等罪名，用戶以比特幣、MoneyGram、PayPal 或現金進行支付。
俄州南區聯邦檢察官辦公室表示，這是美國緝毒局 (DEA) 史上破獲最大宗的加密貨幣查扣案件，Banmeet Singh 至少被沒收 8,100 枚比特幣，警方查扣時價值約 1.5 億美元，26 日時價值已高達 3.4 億美元。

美政府持有超 20 萬枚比特幣
去年 12 月時，美國法院也確定沒收 69,370 枚比特幣，其他加密貨幣包括 BITCOIN GOLD (BTG)、BITCOIN SV (BSV)、BITCOIN CASH (BCH)。
至此美國國庫的比特幣存量持有約 215,000 枚，也一舉超越了當時因 PlusToken 而繳獲大量比特幣的中國 (可能為 190,000 枚)。
但這 215,000 枚也未更新，詳細列表中尚未計入 DEA 這 8,100 枚比特幣。
