跟 Google 搶搜尋？傳 OpenAI 正開發搜尋服務！

微軟的 Bing 雖然至今無法撼動 Google 在搜尋的霸業，但「自己人」OpenAI 看起來要玩 Round 2 了。
根據外媒 The Information 引述知情人士的報導，OpenAI 一直在悄悄開發自家網路搜尋服務，同時服務介面將由 Bing 來驅動。
由於 OpenAI 尚未正式回應此消息，也不清楚搜尋服務會以工具形式整合進 ChatGPT，或是會成為獨立的產品。
ChatGPT 在最初上線時無法取得網路最新資訊，但到了去（2023）年 3 月，OpenAI 宣布支援外掛，其中包括瀏覽網頁的外掛，到了 9 月，OpenAI 則宣布 ChatGPT 已經能夠呈現最新資訊。
市面上導入了 AI 的搜尋服務除了 Google 還在實驗階段的「搜尋生成體驗」（SGE），還包括來自 The Browser Company 的 App「Arc Search」，能針對用戶提出的問題，蒐集網路上結果後彙整成一頁式網站。
OpenAI 本周另一項消息則是研究科學家 Andrej Karpathy 宣布離開公司，背後原因是為了追尋個人計畫，並非源自任何問題。這是他第二次出走 OpenAI。2017 年他為了加入特斯拉領導自駕團隊而離開，2022 年則重返 OpenAI。
