據《紐約時報》援引知情人士消息，SBF 目前仍在獄中處理相關法院文件，
他的律師向曼哈頓美國地方法院提交了一份備忘錄，請求法院縮減其刑期，備忘錄表示 SBF 應該被判處五年至六年半的監禁而非百年，認為後者的結果非常荒誕。

備忘錄稱 SBF 對過去兩年造成的痛苦深感抱歉，FTX 倒閉後其唯一的重點是讓客戶免於受到傷害。
同時律師主張以「零損失」的方式調整犯罪級別，並考慮到 SBF 的慈善面向的付出，五至六年的刑責就足夠了。
