iOS 17.4首度針對歐盟市場開放第三方的程式市集、瀏覽器引擎以及支付機制，以符合數位市場法要求

另外，蘋果也於iOS 17.4及同一天發表的iPadOS 17.4上修補了4個安全漏洞，分別是位於輔助（Accessibility）功能中的位置資訊外洩漏洞CVE-2024-23243，位於核心中的記憶體毀損漏洞CVE-2024-23225，RTKit中的記憶體毀損漏洞CVE-2024-23296，以及Safari隱私瀏覽上的資訊外洩漏洞CVE-2024-23256。
