Google 先前表示因硬體上的限制 Pixel 8 不支援 Gemini Nano，但現在表示可支援，將用來生成錄音的摘要，以及回覆訊息。
Google 工程師先前表示 Pixel 8 手機因硬體上的限制，無法支援 Gemini Nano 模型，只有 Google Pixel 8 Pro、Samsung Galaxy S24 系列才可支援，不過 Google 改口宣布，終端 LLM 即將導入Pixel 8。
在六月的 Pixel Feature Drop，Pixel 8 會配備 Gemini Nano 來對錄音生成摘要，以及驅動 Gboard 智慧回覆，能以較自然的對話方式來自動生成回覆訊息，在 Pixel 8 Pro 上，Gboard 可以和 WhatsApp、Line 和 KakaoTalk 等通訊軟體一起使用
Pixel 8 和 Pixel 8 Pro 的差別在於其 RAM 容量，分別為 8 GB 與 12 GB，。Google 表示，在配備不同記憶體規格的手機上運行 LLM 可以提供不同的用戶體驗，因此我們一直在 Pixel 8 上進行測試和驗證。
外媒《9to5Google》認為，看來 Google 找到方法在不影響其他用戶體驗的同時，用更少 RAM 運行 LLM，可能是仿照了 RAM 最低同為 8GB 的 Galaxy S24 系列。
Gemini Nano 導入 Pixel 8 後，除了終端用戶能體驗 Google 應用程式 AI 功能之外，Pixel 8 開發者也可使用 AICore 系統，來存取 AI 模型打造自家應用。
