Extra Zero Enhances New Jersey Online Casino Winner’s Jackpot
When a Jersey City native won a big jackpot on one of Tipico Casino’s online slots earlier this month, she initially thought she had netted $20,000.
That would have been just fine, but then she noticed an extra zero at the end and said she “immediately went into shock.”
“No other casino has ever been this exceptional to me like Tipico,” added the woman, who elected to remain anonymous. “I first got into online casino games because my luck inside the casino hasn’t been so great. So I decided to try my luck with the online gaming.”
As for what she’ll do with her windfall, which came on Tipico’s Jin Ji Bao Xi Endless Treasure online slot, she said she hadn’t decided just yet but “may proceed with purchasing a home.”
She then added a word to the wise: “My advice to other players is to never spend money that’s necessary for survival. Meaning, money that’s meant for bills or necessities should never be spent on the casino. If you have extra money to spend, try your luck but always remain responsible.”
In a press communique, Tipico reiterated that, since a relaunch of its online casino platform (which is currently only available in New Jersey) this past fall, it has been “purposefully targeting women who have been unaddressed industry-wide with significant content and design changes to draw in a broader audience.”
Back in February, two Tipico executives provided US Bets with a deeper look at its female-focused strategy, with CEO Adrian Vella saying, “We see two streams of revenue on the horizon. One is male-heavy with a preference toward sports betting, so we are investing in our sportsbook experience while also cross-selling table games to this audience. We also see a distinct and compelling opportunity in the opposite journey for female customers, attracting this audience with slot games and cross-selling our sportsbook experience.”
Tipico’s vice president of casino, Claire Alexander, then added, “We still have that link with the male audience — the ones that are more sports focused tend to navigate to table games because it’s a strategic approach that can beat the dealer. Women tend to go more for escapism and that distraction from everyday life. Their enjoyment isn’t necessarily creating stress.”
