委內瑞拉用 USDT 規避制裁
此前報導，隨著美國對委內瑞拉重啟石油制裁，其國營石油公司 PDVSA 計劃增加使用 USDT 做為其原油出口的支付方式。
路透社指出自去年以來，PDVSA 一直在緩慢地將石油銷售轉向 USDT，知情人士稱石油制裁的回歸正在加速這一轉變，因為這可以降低銷售收入被凍結在外國銀行帳戶中的風險。
不過 USDT 發行商 Tether 也馬上回應此事，強調會全面配合美國制裁相關事宜。

Tether：全面配合美國制裁
Tether 發言人向 Cointelegraph 表示：
Tether 仍然致力於終止向外國資產管制辦公室 (OFAC) 所制裁實體進行相關支付，Tether 尊重 OFAC 的制裁實體名單，並致力於確保制裁地址的資產會立即被凍結。
