io.net回應攻擊事件：不影響發幣，第二輪獎勵計劃5/1如期推出
去中心化 AI 運算資源平台 io.net 執行長 Ahmad Shadid 針對近期平台 GPU 虛假數據一事予以回應，起因為攻擊者偽造大量虛假 GPU 資訊以騙取獎勵，而團隊為了識別真實用戶而祭出的安全措施，也導致第一輪的用戶獎勵可能受影響。

部分批評者質疑平台上實際可用的 GPU 數量與官方所宣傳的並不相符。Ahmad Shadid 在 29 日推文解釋，io.net 在過去幾日不斷遭受網路女巫攻擊，用戶試圖偽造 GPU 資訊來換取獎勵。他說道：

十天前，我們發現約有 180 萬個虛擬 GPU 試圖連接到 io.net 網路，團隊立即著手識別並阻止這些設備，我們花了好幾天的時間才將真實與虛擬 GPU 區別開。io.net 的措施包括新增了防火牆等，但這也導致某些用戶需重啟並更新用戶端才能再次加入網路，並進一步使 io.net 平台上的 GPU 供應暫時減少。
實際上 io.net 在 18 日就強調將排除虛擬 GPU，但作惡者也不斷嘗試新方法，才導致本次事件。

不影響 io.net 獎勵計劃
不幸的是，本此安全更新與第一輪獎勵計劃的快照撞期，不僅部分正規提供 GPU 的用戶受影響，未重啟、更新的 GPU 也無法存取正常運行時間 API，導致活動 GPU 連線數從 600,000 個大幅下降至 10,000 個。
而 Ahmad Shadid 明確表示，本次攻擊不會影響 io.net 的發展計劃，仍將於 5 月 1 日至 5 月 30 日啟動第二輪獎勵計劃，且會如期推出 IO Cloud v2 以及 IO 代幣。
