当地时间10月15日，菲律宾国家警察(PNP)和多地警力突袭位于邦板牙省克拉克自由港的菲律宾离岸BC运营商(POGO)，解救了16名据称被强制劳动的泰国公民。
此次救援行动是在泰国大使馆公使衔参赞克里泰亚莱普考(Kriteya Lepkao)于10月13日致信菲律宾国家警察之后进行的，信中称泰国国民被迫在工作时间之外工作，但雇主Shedaikeji Technology并未支付合理的加班费。
据报道，16名受害者的护照由他们的雇主保管，公司代表同意在10月17日将所有护照归还给泰国大使馆。
据初步了解，被移交到大使馆的受害者表示，他们不想对雇主提出指控，受害者希望尽快回到自己的国家。
菲律宾国家警察表示：“在其他参与机构的帮助下，菲律宾警方将继续打击与菲律宾离岸BC运营商相关的人口贩运和非法活动。”
