Fanatics Launches Mobile Sportsbook In Wyoming

Fanatics Sportsbook announced Wednesday it has begun operations in Wyoming, the 21st state where the sports betting app will be available to bettors.

Its launch gives “Big Country” bettors five mobile options, and Fanatics Sportsbook is the first new entrant to the state since Caesars in June 2022. Fanatics is available for both iOS and Android in Wyoming and will offer up to 5% in FanCash back on bets, giving bettors the chance to use those rewards on bonus bets and Fanatics merchandise. It has a welcome offer in which new customers can receive up to $1,000 in bonus bets if a bettor participates by wagering $100 per day for 10 days.

It is the second state Fanatics has launched this month, having done so in New Jersey on May 8. With that launch, Fanatics completed a 20-state national rebranding of PointsBet after it acquired the Australia-based sportsbook’s North American operations for $225 million last year.

DraftKings and BetMGM launched when mobile betting first became available in Wyoming in September 2021, and FanDuel took its first bets the following March.

DraftKings has the largest market share when it comes to sports betting handle, its $39.3 million in accepted wagers through the first four months of the year accounts for 57% of the $68.9 million in total handle for 2024.

Despite its later entrance, FanDuel looks to have supplanted BetMGM as the No. 2 option for bettors — its $16.5 million in year-to-date handle is up 69.5% from the same period in 2023, while BetMGM’s handle has increased only 2.3% to $10.6 million.

Caesars, meanwhile, has yet to clear $1 million in monthly handle since its entrance. Its $2.5 million worth of accepted wagers in 2024 represents an 18.8% downturn in year-over-year handle, and Caesars’ 4.3% hold this year is barely half its overall 8.4% win rate.

Wyoming’s handle is currently up 29.2% compared to the first four months of 2023, while gross sports betting revenue is up 35.1% to $7.8 million thanks to an 11.4% hold. Six of the state’s top 10 monthly handles have come in the last eight months, with October’s $21.2 million the current all-time high.
