theScore Bet announces extension of Golf Canada partnership

As PGA golfers become reacquainted with the Hamilton Golf and Country Club, with tee-off for the first round of the RBC Canadian Open set for Thursday morning, theScore Bet announced they have extended their partnership agreement with Golf Canada.

In the multi-year partnership extension between Penn Entertainment, which owns theScore Bet, and Golf Canada, theScore Bet will continue as exclusive official gaming partner of Canada’s men’s and women’s golf championships. The deal includes sponsorship of Canada’s marquee national golf championships, the RBC Canadian Open and CPKC Women’s Open.

The deal allows theScore Bet to activate marketing campaigns across Golf Canada’s events and over their digital footprint. The relationship over the past three years has been marked by some unique on-course activations.

Last year, theScore Bet’s HOLE ZERO market activation at the RBC Canadian Open at Oakdale Golf & Country Club in Toronto featured an actual 150-yard par-3 hole built above No. 7 on the Thompson course, with a clubhouse where participants could check into lockers, get a lesson from a golf pro, then tee it up and compete for prizes. A hole-in-one would have netted $75,000. There also was the Greenside Lounge.

“Golf Canada has been a tremendous partner over the last three years,” said Jason Birney, vice president of Operations, Penn Interactive. “The RBC Canadian Open and CPKC Women’s Open are foundational best-in-class events that we’re proud to align theScore BET brand with. Through our sponsorship and creative on-site activations, we look forward to providing golf fans with unique and memorable experiences in the years ahead.”

theScore Bet will be in Hamilton this weekend with its Members Lounge located in The Rink at the 13th hole, which offers theScore Bet account holders access to a reserved space with amenities and views of the course.
