Iowa casinos enjoy year-over-year revenue spike in May

The revenue dip Iowa casinos felt in April didn’t last long. According to the latest data from the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission (IRGC), the state’s 19 casinos generated $148.8 million in adjusted gross revenue (AGR) in May, up 2.4% from April and 3.5% from May 2023…

May was a strong month across the board for Iowa casinos. Fifteen out of 19 properties posted positive revenue gains, as noted on the IRGC’s May 2024 Gaming Revenue Report.

Q Casino led the way with a 16.9% spike, followed by Harrah’s Council Bluffs at 13.5% and Wild Rose Emmetsburg at 9.8%.
