Friday was a great day to be at Scarlet Pearl Casino in D’Iberville as, three big hits extended this year’s string of slot machine wins at South Mississippi casinos.

“It was just like pop, pop, pop all day long,” said Angela Black, director of gaming operations at Scarlet Pearl Casino, who was there on the big day. First up was a nearly $50,000 win. The player had bet only $1.80 when he hit the jackpot, Black said. “What a return on your investment,” she said. A little while later a woman from Gulfport hit for $86,000.

“A few hours later we had a gentleman hit for just under $100,000,” Black said.
