11月11日，菲律宾总统府宣布，总统小马科斯将于 2023 年 1 月开始对中国进行国事访问。
据菲律宾通讯社报道，11月11日，菲律宾总统府宣布，总统小马科斯将于 2023 年 1 月开始对中国进行国事访问。
新闻秘书办公室（OPS）在新闻声明中表示：“小费迪南德·马科斯总统已接受中华人民共和国主席习近平的邀请，于1月3日至5日/ 6日对中国进行国事访问。中国政府已经确认了国事访问的时间表。”
马科斯在前往金边的总统专机上接受媒体采访时强调，寻找解决菲律宾与包括中国在内的其他沿岸国家在南海长期存在的领土争端的重要性。
因此，当他与习近平主席会面时，他“不可能”不讨论南海问题。
