为了减少网络犯罪，保护个人数据以及柬埔寨的公共和私人机构，邮电部已完成了《网络安全法》草案。柬埔寨面临来自黑客的威胁。为了保护网络安全和打击网络犯罪，柬埔寨政府正在努力建立国家网络网关，并聘请专家来监控网络攻击。
同时，邮电部起草了网络安全和个人数据保护法。邮电部发言人说：“我们已经起草了一部关于网络安全的综合法，但我们需要私营领域和其他公共机构提供更多的意见。我们现在正在等待答复，然后我们将在跨部门会议上对其进行审查。”
他补充说，该部已将草案发送给相关方，特别是大型互联网供应商，因此他们可以帮助审查法律。
