The Kansas Lottery has reported that sports wagering revenue for June neared $9.4 million from $140.1 million in wagers, with revenue up 128.7 percent and handle up 42.8 percent from June 2023.

Online sportsbooks generated most of June’s betting activity, accounting for 96.6 percent of handle, or $135.3 million, while retail books collected $4.8 million in wagers. As for revenue, $9.28 million came from online sportsbooks and $80,850 from retail.

DraftKings online sportsbook led the way in handle and revenue, with $66.2 million and $4.7 million, respectively. FanDuel followed with a $39.8 million handle and $3.9 million in revenue, while BetMGM had $11.2 million in handle and $548,838 in revenue. Barstool, Caesars and Fanatics contributed the remaining handle.

June’s figures resulted in $936,385 paid to the state, which supports various causes, including problem gambling support, white-collar crime investigations and efforts to attract professional sports to Kansas. Fiscal year 2024 revenues have resulted in $11.7 million paid toward these funds, marking a 99.5 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
