The Delaware Lottery has reported that the nearly $13.1 million was wagered on sports in June with revenue of $800,783, up dramatically from June 2023’s handle of $3.1 million and revenue of $71,029 with the addition of online wagering that began in December.

Delaware’s three online sportsbooks dominated the market, accounting for almost 94 percent of June’s handle with nearly $12.3 million. The remaining $786,412 was bet at retail sportsbooks.

The BetRivers app, powering Delaware’s three online casinos, led the market. Delaware Park generated nearly $8.7 million in handle, followed by Harrington Raceway with $2.5 million and Bally’s Dover with $1.1 million. BetRivers is the exclusive sports betting operator in Delaware, requiring players to choose one of these three casinos for app-based wagering.

State regulators this year considered the possibility of allowing multiple vendors to operate in the state. However, Adam Marchuk of BetRiver’s parent company, Rush Street Interactive, argued that the sole contract is the most profitable option. HB 365 did not advance and was not addressed in the June 30 legislative session.
