Google 預告，短網址服務將於明年8月走入歷史

Google 宣佈將於 2025 年 8 月 25 日關閉其短網址服務，自 2024 年 8 月 23 日起，所有以「https://goo.gl/*」形式建立的網址都將失效，這些短網址都將回傳「404 錯誤頁面」。
谷歌（Google ）18 日預告短網址 服務將於明年走入歷史。公告文表示：「關閉 Google URL Shortener 服務的時機已到。任何以形式「https://goo.gl/*」建立網址的開發人員都會受到影響，這些網址過了 2025 年 8 月 25 日後將不再回應。」
公告文指出，自 2024 年 8 月 23 日起，goo.gl 網址將開始針對現有的部分連結顯示插頁，在導向原始目標頁面前通知使用者，該連結將於 2025 年 8 月 25 日之後不再支援。隨著時間接近，這些短網址顯示通知插頁的比率將會增加，直到關閉日為止。之後這些短網址都會回傳「404 錯誤頁面」。
谷歌短網址服務最早於 2009 年推出，但早於 2018 年 3 月便宣布逐步淘汰。谷歌表示這是因為「看到人們使用網路搜尋的方式發生變化，而且這段期間也出現許多新的熱門短網址服務」。此外，短網址也容易被用來隱藏惡意連結，成為釣魚詐騙的工具。
