据本地媒体报道，7月23日，前禁毒局副局长范科萨及其四名同伙因涉嫌栽赃、非法逮捕、勒索等罪名受审。该团伙此前曾勒索多名中国人，金额接近10万美元。
据悉，这些被告涉嫌多起案件，于去年11月13日被捕。
在第一起案件中，8名中国人共支付91000美元后才获释。
案发时，副局长范科萨向其中一群中国人表示，如果想要无罪释放，必须支付3万美金，并表示可陪同他们一起去银行取钱。这些中国人在经过“讲价”后，无奈交钱获释。随后，他们向内政部报案。本报此前已对此案件进行了报道。
在另一起案件中，被告试图拦截几名中国人，但未能成功。
此案目前仍有另外两名嫌犯在逃，目前正在被通缉中。
