France: FDJ hits €1.43B revenue in H1 as it awaits Kindred deal

French operator La Française des Jeux (FDJ) has reported a robust performance for the first half of 2024, with revenue reaching €1.43bn [$1.55bn] amid 10.8% year-on-year growth. Growth was driven by a 7% increase in gaming activities within France, and a 40% increase in digital revenue.

FDJ’s gross gaming revenue (GGR) for the period stood at €3.66bn, reflecting an 11.1% increase. After accounting for €2.3bn in public levies, the net gaming revenue (NGR) rose by 11.3% to €1.36bn.

The additional revenue from other activities contributed an extra €72m, culminating in a total first-half revenue of €1.43bn.

Stéphane Pallez (pictured), chair and CEO of FDJ, attributed the success to the effective network of points of sale and the burgeoning digital game sector, which now represents 15% of the group’s total revenue.
