Full House revenue spikes in Q2, but losses widen

In financial results released after the close of trading Tuesday, Full House Resorts recorded a second-quarter loss of $8.6 million or 25 cents per share. This was despite a year-over-year revenue increase of 23.8 percent to $73.5 million.

The prior-year Q2 loss was $5.6 million or 16 cents per share, in spite of not having the revenue contribution of Chamonix Casino Hotel in Cripple Creek, Colorado. Cash flow for the second quarter of 2024 grew 34.6 percent to $14.1 million.

The company attributed the cash-flow improvement to its The Temporary at American Place casino in Waukegan, Illinois. It also credited $900,000 “of accelerated revenue from an online sports wagering ‘skin’ that ceased operations in Colorado.”

Full House also promoted Angi Truebner-Webb to general manager of the Silver Slipper Casino & Hotel in Biloxi. A native of Guben, Germany, Truebner-Webb has been with Full House since 2010, initially at Silver Slipper and subsequently at Indiana’s Rising Star Casino & Resort, where she rose to general manager.

Truebner-Webb replaces John Ferrucci, who is retiring this autumn. “We are very proud of Angi, who has steadily worked her way up within Full House Resorts,” stated CEO Dan Lee. “She has done an excellent job in building a team and improving results at Rising Star, often amidst challenging competitive conditions.”

In additional news, Full House extended its lease at Lake Tahoe’s Grand Lodge Casino for 10 years until December 31, 2034. The Full House lease price will increase from $2 million in 2024 to $2,010,857 for 2025, followed by annual increases of 2 percent for the remainder of the term.

Full House has operated Grand Lodge Casino since 2011. The company stated that the lease “had been extended several times, reflecting the ongoing and excellent relationship between Full House and the operators of the hotel.”
