Massachusetts: Man accused of stealing $13K worth of casino chips from Encore Boston

A Massachusetts man has been arrested after allegedly stealing $13,000 worth of casino chips from Encore Boston Harbor.

Gary Hunt, 35, has been charged with larceny over $1,200 and larceny from a building.

Police said casino security reported a man — later identified as Hunt — taking chips from a table and running away. Hunt is the son of former Woonsocket Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt, 12 News has confirmed.

Before taking off, police said witnesses saw Hunt sitting at a table, but not playing, and getting up several times to use his phone.
