The Louisiana Gaming Control Board Thursday reported revenue of $180.8 million from all forms of gaming, a year-over-year decrease of 6%. Of the state’s five gaming districts, three reported revenue decreases.

Revenue from online sports betting reached $23.5 million, up 43% year-over-year, from a handle of $172.0 million, a 41% increase compared to the previous year.

Properties in the Lake Charles district led with gaming revenue of $69.0 million, an 8% decrease year-over-year. Golden Nugget Lake Charles posted revenue of $25.2 million, followed by L’Auberge Casino Resort Lake Charles, which generated $23.2 million. Delta Downs Racetrack Casino Hotel generated $12.8 million, and Horseshoe Lake Charles posted $7.8 million.

The New Orleans district reported revenue of $44.2 million, a 12% increase compared to July 2023. Harrah’s New Orleans posted revenue of $17.7 million, followed by Treasure Chest Casino with $12.5 million and Boomtown Casino & Hotel with $8.5 million.

Shreveport/Bossier City district properties generated revenue of $41.6 million, a 19% decrease compared to July 2023. Margaritaville Resort Casino posted a revenue of $14.3 million, Horseshoe Bossier City generated $8.6 million, and Bally’s Shreveport Casino & Hotel posted a revenue of $8.3 million.

The Baton Rouge district’s year-over-year generated revenue of $23.6 million for an increase of 3%. L’Auberge Casino Hotel led the district with $12.4 million, the Queen of Baton Rouge generated $7.0 million, and the Belle of Baton Rouge reported revenue of $0.5 million.

Evangeline Downs Racetrack & Casino in St. Landry Parish generated revenue of $6.1 million, a year-over-year decrease of 6%.
