BetMGM Will Soon Bring NetGaming Slots to New Jersey
New Jersey’s online casino industry is about to get a significant upgrade.
BetMGM has announced that it will bring its exclusive NetGaming casino games to the Garden State. The operator first launched the catalog of games in Michigan and is now expanding it to a second state.
“This collaboration represents a strategic step in our expansion strategy, allowing us to reach new players and provide them with the high-quality gaming experiences that we are known for.” NetGaming CEO Pallavi Deshmukh said in a press release. “We look forward to a successful partnership with BetMGM and are committed to contributing to the growth of the iGaming market in New Jersey.”
The announcement is a major victory for BetMGM, which has been striving to improve its online casino further. While they have seen an uptick in their user base and revenue, BetMGM still posted a loss of $38 million in the second quarter of 2024. By comparison, the platform had a loss of $22 million in the second quarter of 2023.
Despite the losses, BetMGM currently owns over 20% of the market share in the US online casino industry.
In addition to their online casino, BetMGM also owns one of the most popular online sportsbooks in the country. While they trail fair behind industry-leading FanDuel and DraftKings, they have been at the top of the second tier of operators.
In addition to their impressive revenue, BetMGM Sportsbook also took home two coveted awards from the 2024 EGR North America Awards. They were named the Sports Betting Operator of the Year as well as the Sports Betting Employer of the Year.
While many of MGM’s competitors struggle to capture market share, the Vegas-based operator seems to be on the rise.
