BetMGM User Takes Home $6.5m in Biggest Online Casino Win in US History

BetMGM has revealed that one of its players has secured the biggest-ever legal online casino win in US history. The gambling operator announced that a user in New Jersey captured a progressive jackpot worth $6.45m from a $200 bet on the Fruit Blaster slot game.

The pool for “The Big One” jackpot accumulates as people play through different online casinos, including BetMGM, Party Casino, Borgata, and Wheel of Fortune Casino. It reset after the lucky moment in New Jersey on Monday morning.

Another perk secured by winning a jackpot of $500,000+ at BetMGM is that the player gets a luxury trip to any MGM property.

In the press release announcing the record-breaking win, the operator said users won more than $138m last year through progressive jackpots, a 32% year-on-year rise.

Commenting on the landmark moment, BetMGM Chief Executive Officer Adam Greenblatt said that the win was the culmination of a “summer filled with anticipation watching the progressive jackpot grow quickly to record levels.”
