華爾街日報（WSJ）本周引述消息來源報導，OpenAI正在協商新一輪的融資，打算募集數十億美元，而此次所估算的OpenAI身價將超過1,000億美元。
OpenAI自於2022年11月推出ChatGPT聊天機器人之後，身價扶搖直上，在2023年1月獲得微軟注資100億美元，當時OpenAI的估值為290億美元，已是2021年的兩倍；在OpenAI於2023年第四季開放員工出售股票時，估值則為860億美元，接近年初的3倍。
根據報導，此次OpenAI的融資活動將由創投Thrive Capital領投，將投資10億美元，微軟也可能會加碼。此外，就算不是正式的融資活動，觀察OpenAI股票在二級市場的價格，其估值也已超過1,000億美元。
The Information日前曾揭露，微軟與OpenAI正在規畫一項資料中心專案，準備於6年內投入超過1,000億美元以建置多座超級電腦。
