近日，菲律宾华裔女子近日收到大量短信验证码后，发现银行账户已经损失了上百万披索的资金。
受害者佛罗琳达·陈(Flordelina Chan，译音)表示，她于10月26日至27日收到大量关于一次性密码的信息，但由于自己没有使用网上银行进行交易，因此忽略了这些消息。
陈女士表示，在收到一条警告她有可疑交易的消息后，她立即致电银行，而银行表示将对事件展开调查。
受害女子随后前往银行并发现自己已经损失了上百万披索，因此立即寻求国调局反网络犯罪部门的帮助。
中华银行(RCBC)D. Tuazon分行已经致信给陈女士，表示无法退还因OTP短信验证码和系统未检测到漏洞而损失的资金。
RCBC在声明中表示：“陈女士的账户是在银行系统之外遭到入侵。当客户提供他们的账户敏感信息、密码或一次性密码时，不法分子就有可能访问他们的账户。RCBC不断提醒其客户永远不要与任何人分享重要信息。”
