Newly released data from the Florida Gaming Control Commission has revealed that the state’s non-tribal casinos collected almost $54.9 million in net slot revenue in August from around $825.6 million in wagers.

That’s a 1.5 percent year-on-year increase from the $54.1 million generated in August 2023 and a 1.7 percent month-on-month rise compared to July’s nearly $54 million.

With 1,236 machines, Harrah’s Pompano Beach Casino, reported as the Isle Casino & Racing at Pompano Park, led with $9.8 million of the total. While this figure was 9.2 percent higher than in July, it was down 8.8 percent from last August, when Harrah’s collected almost $10.8 million in net slot revenue.

Harrah’s reclaimed the top spot from Magic City Casino in Miami, which led in June and July. Magic City took a close second place with almost $9.7 million in slot revenue from its 996 machines. In third, Hialeah Park Casino collected around $8.4 million from 777 machines. Casino Miami followed with $7.9 million from 984 machines, while the 1,053 machines at Calder Casino produced revenues of $7.5 million.

The remaining casinos – Gulfstream Park Racing, Casino at Dania Beach and Big Easy Casino – each collected less than $5 million in net slot revenue.
