Office 2024支援配備1.6 GHz雙核心處理器的Windows 10、Windows 11電腦，以及安裝最新3代macOS版本的Mac電腦

微軟在FAQ中說明，以Office 2024撰寫的Windows文件，在Microsoft 365、Windows Office 2024、2021、2019、2016、 2013、2010及2007都能開啟，而Mac版本則可於Mac版Office 2011和2008應用程式中開啟。
對於人數在5人以上的小型企業，微軟建議採購Office長期服務通道（Office Long Term Servicing Channel，LTSC）2024版本，強調能和訂閱版的Microsoft 365及通用的管理工具整合部署，簡化混合環境的管理。
微軟提醒，安裝與啟用單機版Office仍需具備網路連線和登入Microsoft帳號。單一微軟帳號可啟用最多25個Office Home 2024、Office Home & Business 2024及Office Professional 2021授權。
