Atlantic City casino donates used furniture to residents during renovation project

Piles of mattresses lined the Golden Nugget’s valet area Wednesday as part of a big giveaway of used furniture during the Atlantic City casino’s multi-million dollar renovation project.

The available items included box springs, pillows, couches, sectionals, lamps, tables, chairs and clocks.

Volunteers and Golden Nugget workers helped load the free furniture into vehicles for anyone who pulled up. By Wednesday afternoon, it was all gone.

Golden Nugget completed the first phase of its renovation project in May. The project includes all of the hotel’s 27 floors and 700 guest rooms.
