South Korea locals casino to invest billions to attract foreign patrons
Kangwon Land, home of South Korea’s only locals casino, has announced an integrated tourism project to boost foreign patronage. The plan will add more non-gaming attractions and also increase the gaming floor.
Kangwon Land Casino & Hotel is located in Gangwon Province. The picturesque but remote mountainous region borders the DMZ between North and South Korea. The property, about 150 kilometres from Seoul, opened in 2000 in a onetime coal mining community.
