臺大團隊打造一款光場擴增實境（AR）顯示裝置，能解決傳統AR技術裝置的暈眩和眼睛疲勞問題。這是因為，光場光場顯示技術可將場景中的光線投射至眼睛，就像在觀看實物一樣。他們也與醫療團隊合作，找出可行的醫療應用，如胃部影像3D重建。
聯手臨床團隊，探索光場顯示技術應用領域
與此同時，研發團隊也與臨床醫師合作，找出可行的應用領域。其一就是透過三維重建和注視技術，來將原本平面的胃鏡影像，重建為三維立體的胃部模型；再加上目光追蹤技術，能更還原當初醫師判讀過程的凝視順序。
這個應用不只能用於精準定位病灶、供外科醫師手術參考，還能還原資深醫師判讀的目光路徑，來輔助年輕醫師找到問題、提高學習效率。
臺大團隊也表示，AR導引微創手術系統是目前醫療市場熱門的應用領域，他們研發的自動對位技術，可應用來將器官的數位雙生（Digital twins）與真實人體對齊。意思是，在未來，醫師不必在手術中使用輻射線醫學影像，就能透視人體、精準定位器官位置。（如下圖）
