Virginia casino revenue up to $56.6 million in September

The Virginia Lottery has reported the state’s three casinos combined for almost $56.6 million in adjusted gaming revenue in September, a 9 percent increase from the $51.9 million collected in the same month last year.

More than 76 percent or $43 million of the AGR, was generated by slots, while table games accounted for the remaining $13.5 million.

Rivers Casino Portsmouth led with $24.2 million in AGR, including around $17.9 million from slots and $6.4 million generated by table games. Caesars Virginia took second, collecting close to $18.3 million, while Hard Rock Bristol contributed the remaining $14.1 million to the revenue total.

Of these casinos, Caesars Virginia was the only one to report a year-over-year decrease of 4.6 percent. Rivers saw a 20.7 percent jump and Hard Rock Bristol’s revenue was up 10.8 percent compared to September 2023.
