Golden Entertainment has promoted Skylar Dice to senior vice president and general manager of the Strat Hotel, Casino & Tower in Las Vegas. With more than two decades of experience in hospitality and gaming, Dice brings a wealth of industry knowledge and leadership to his new position at The Strat, the company said.

Dice first joined the Strat in November 2021 as vice president and assistant general manager, where he was instrumental in overseeing day-to-day operations. In his newly appointed role, Dice will lead all aspects of operations, including the Strat’s 2,427-room hotel, 80,000-square-foot casino, and the tallest freestanding observation tower in the U.S.

“Skylar has demonstrated exceptional leadership and operational expertise during his time at the Strat and we are confident in his ability to continue enhancing the guest experience while driving growth across all areas of the property,” Blake Sartini II, executive vice president and COO of Golden Entertainment said in a statement. “His promotion reflects the trust we have in his capabilities to lead this iconic destination on the Las Vegas Strip.”

Before joining the Strat, Dice served as vice president and general manager of Rocky Gap Casino Resort, another Golden Entertainment property that has since been sold. During his tenure at Rocky Gap, he managed the AAA Four Diamond Hotel and Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course and led the resort’s philanthropic outreach efforts, emphasizing team-member recognition and community engagement.

Dice’s career in the gaming industry began in 1997 as a dealer at Turtle Creek Casino in Williamsburg, Michigan. Since then, he has held leadership roles at several renowned casinos across the country, including Greektown Casino-Hotel in Detroit, Four Winds Casinos in Indiana, and Red Hawk Casino in California.
