When will Missourians be able to place sports bets?

In Missouri, sports betting will soon be legal after Tuesday night’s election, but the measure just barely passed.

In fact, it wasn’t until the early morning hours Wednesday that Amendment 2 was declared a winner. It came down to a margin of less than 5,000 votes, according to the Missouri Secretary of State’s website.

The next question is when people in Missouri can place a sports bet. The answer has to be before December 1 of 2025 because that’s the way the initiative petition was written, but it could be available a few months before then.
