根据华盛顿邮报报道，美国候任总统特朗普可能将阻止TikTok禁令生效。特朗普顾问团队中的多位消息人士透露，特朗普在必要时将采取行动，以避免美国对TikTok实施禁令，或用其他方式来保护国家安全。
今年4月，美国总统拜登签署了两党支持的“不卖就禁”法案，要求TikTok母公司字节跳动在2025年1月19日前将TikTok出售给非中国企业。若未能完成出售，TikTok将被禁止在美国运营。TikTok已向美国法院提起诉讼，指控此法案违宪，即使败诉，也可将诉讼拖延至特朗普上任之后。特朗普或有充足的时间和空间，以探索保护TikTok运营的其他选择。
特朗普前高级顾问Kellyanne Conway在接受华盛顿邮报访问时透露，特朗普“非常欣赏TikTok在年轻人中的广泛影响力”，并强调“即使对字节跳动施加压力，也有许多其他方式来保护国家安全，而非简单地禁用TikTok”。Conway的观点表明，特朗普或将通过更灵活的政策来确保美国年轻人的社交媒体使用权益不被剥夺，并防止Facebook等竞争对手因TikTok的禁令而壮大。
