一名因非法赌博在中国被通缉的中国逃犯在尼诺·阿基诺国际机场(NAIA)被移民局(BI)官员拦截。
移民局长陈新戈(Norman Tansingco)表示，曾某于12月27日本将乘坐中国国航航班飞往北京，并在一号航站楼被菲移民局官员拦截。
在处理他的离境手续时，移民局官员发现他是国际刑警组织蓝色通缉令的对象。
菲移民局立即与北京同行协调，并安排其继续飞往北京，而曾某在抵达机场后被等候的中国警察逮捕。
据称，曾某是中国山东省一个犯罪诈骗集团的成员并已被执行逮捕和拘留令。他被指控在互联网上经营非法赌博网站，根据中国法律，这是严重的刑事犯罪。
与此同时，菲移民局近日还在机场逮捕本将前往新加坡菲律宾籍非法招募人员。
