New York: Committee votes to release environmental impact study for potential Sands Long Island casino

The Nassau County Legislative Rules Committee unanimously voted Wednesday to release an environmental impact study related to bringing a casino to the Nassau Coliseum.

The full Legislature now has to vote on the measure. If approved, a public hearing will be held.

The environmental impact report was the center of a state Supreme Court ruling on the future of the Nassau Hub.
