Mississippi: Long Beach approves lease agreement for casino development

In the next five years, a casino could be opened in Long Beach. The city’s Board of Aldermen unanimously approved a lease agreement on Thursday that green lights the development.

Long Beach agreed to lease the city property in the harbor where Parrish’s Restaurant, owned by Jim Parish, is located to Long Beach Harbor Resorts, LLC. On the north side of Highway 90, Southern Sand is currently in negotiations to obtain the Weigel property, better known as the old K-Mart property.
