Mexico City, August 12, 2025 GAT Events, organizers of GAT Expo CDMX 2025, announces the realization of the Latam Associations Summit, a high-level event to be held on August 27 and 28, 2025, at the Expo Santa Fe fairgrounds in Mexico City. This event will serve as the starting point for a permanent platform for strategic cooperation and dialogue between the leading trade organizations of the gaming sector in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The Latam Associations Summit aims to address key industry topics such as the need for regulatory adaptation, pillars of sustainability, combating illegal gaming, innovation, and technological challenges. It also seeks to become a unified voice before government entities and society at large, strengthening the positioning of the sector and generating harmonious solutions for current challenges.

The event will feature the participation of important regional associations, including AIEJA (Mexico), ADCJ (Dominican Republic), APOJA (Paraguay), CIBELAE, FECOLJUEGOS (Colombia), CORNAZAR (Colombia), and SONAJA (Peru).

Evert Montero Cárdenas, President of Fecoljuegos (Colombia), thematic curator and coordinator, comments: “I thank GAT for launching this valuable initiative and for trusting me to serve as the curator and coordinator of this summit. I take on this task with deep commitment, aiming to foster a framework of collaboration that allows Latin American associations to work together to face the regulatory and technological challenges that will shape the future of our sector. I trust that, alongside such distinguished peers and colleagues, we can jointly define a roadmap that will lay the foundations for Latin America to become a global leader in responsible and sustainable gaming.”

Miguel Ángel Ochoa, President of AIEJA (Mexico), as host of the Summit, states: “Mexico is honored to host GAT Expo CDMX and this Latam Associations Summit, which represents a unique opportunity to build stronger ties among regional gaming stakeholders. This event will be the space to share knowledge and address common challenges, always with the commitment to promote legality and transparency throughout the sector, strengthening communication between trade unions that represent the interests of a very important economic sector before governments and society.”

José Aníbal Aguirre, CEO of GAT, expresses: “Two central concepts underpin this initiative; the first is that the Latam Associations Summit becomes a collective voice for the interests of the legal gaming industry, facilitating knowledge exchange, allowing comparative analysis of regulatory advancements, and promoting the development and visibility of the sector.

The second concept is that this first gathering in Mexico, bringing together the entire Latin American gaming ecosystem in one place, is the ideal moment for operators and providers interested in entering or investing in Latin American markets to engage with the directors of the associations present, in order to find a suitable path for their legal entry into countries like Mexico, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Paraguay, and Peru, receiving guidance to establish a legal and successful operation in various gaming verticals. The idea is to hold the summit annually in different locations within the GAT Events Circuit.”
