Jeju Sky City Casino revenue doubles, tops foreign casinos

Jeju Sky City's casino revenue reached 52.95 billion won in September, up 86.3% year-on-year and 23.2% month-on-month. Table games and slot machines saw simultaneous growth, with table bets reaching 1.78 trillion won (up 59.7%) in the first nine months.

Having surpassed Paradise City in August, it maintains its lead. Visa-free policies for Chinese groups and Jeju are expected to attract new visitors.


Performance highlights: strong revenue and significant year-on-year growth


Consolidated data released by Lotte Tourism Development showed that Jeju Cheonseong's casino revenue reached 52.95 billion won (about 38.7 million US dollars) in September , an increase of 86.3% year-on-year and 23.2% compared to August (42.99 billion won in August).

Performance by business: Gaming tables led the gains, while slot machines also strengthened

  • Table gaming revenue : 51.11 billion KRW , +88.2% year-on-year (approximately US$37.3 million).
  • Slot machine revenue : 1.83 billion won , +44.7% year-on-year (approximately US$1.3 million).

Hotel sector: month-on-month decline, year-on-year slight increase


Hotel revenue was 6.93 billion won (about 5.1 million US dollars), a decrease of -17.1% month-on -month, but an increase of **+1.7%** compared to September 2024. In the company's revenue structure in 2024, casinos accounted for 62.5% and hotels accounted for 18.2% .


Accumulated in the first 9 months: rapid expansion of betting amount


From January to September 2025, the total bets on table games were 1.78 trillion won (about US$1.3 billion), an increase of 59.7% over the same period last year (1.11 trillion won in the same period last year).


Market position: A milestone beyond Paradise City


As of the end of August, Jeju Sky City Casino's revenue had surpassed Paradise City , becoming the highest-grossing foreign-only casino in South Korea , and continued to expand its advantage in September.


Good news for immigration: New visa policy may boost subsequent passenger flow


Starting September 29th , South Korea implemented visa-free entry for Chinese groups of three or more organized by approved travel agencies (for up to 15 days) . Jeju Island maintains visa-free entry for individuals and groups (for up to 30 days) . The government projects an additional one million Chinese tourists by June 2026 , boosting demand for Jeju's gaming and hotel sectors.
