The UAE continues to build its regulated commercial gaming ecosystem, with Playtech subsidiary VS Technology becoming the latest supplier to receive a Gaming-Related Vendor Licence from the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA).

The United Arab Emirates has taken another step in developing its regulated commercial gaming market by granting a Gaming-Related Vendor Licence to VS Technology Limited, a subsidiary of Playtech. The licence was issued by the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA), allowing the company to provide gaming-related products and services within the country’s regulated market.
With this approval, VS Technology becomes the 23rd licensed gaming-related vendor on the GCGRA’s public register, joining established industry suppliers such as Aristocrat, IGT, Novomatic, Light & Wonder, Konami, and Scientific Games. The growing list of approved vendors reflects the UAE’s continued efforts to establish a transparent and well-regulated commercial gaming ecosystem.
Although the number of licensed operators remains limited, the steady expansion of the supplier network signals increasing confidence in the UAE’s long-term gaming market. As more technology providers receive regulatory approval, the country continues laying the foundation for future industry growth and international collaboration.
For gaming technology providers, obtaining regulatory approval early may provide strategic advantages as the UAE gradually expands its commercial gaming sector. The development also highlights the growing importance of compliance and licensing in emerging regulated markets.
