根据报道，嫌疑人是受害者家庭雇佣不到一个月的家佣，21岁的Patrick John Gonzales，又名Butchoy。
闭路电视录像显示，2月11日凌晨4点，一名男子在甲美地省(Cavite)Bacoor市的一所房子外背着几个袋子。
受害者被确认为61岁的Felicitas "Bing" Policarpio Soriano。受害者的儿子Mark Jerick Almusajin表示，大门附近有血迹，他在进屋后的一个房间里看到了母亲的尸体。
警方尚未找到凶器。
当局表示，嫌疑人据称拿走了受害者的手机和钱包。警方还发现了一件被扔到附近小溪里沾有血迹的衬衫。
警方称，多名投诉人也报案控诉嫌犯借钱不还的行为。
受害者家属对任何能够提供嫌疑人下落信息的人将提供现金奖励。
Almusajin说：“我希望你感到内疚。自首吧。我不知道你为什么那样做。我们家人对你都很好。”
