降低运营自家数据中心风险 Uber改用Google、Oracle云计算服务平台

电召客车服务商Uber日前宣布，将会跟Google和Oracle签订为期7年的云计算服务平台合约，将原本托管在自家数据中心服务器的服务数据，转移到Google Cloud和Oracle Cloud平台。
电召客车服务商Uber日前宣布，将会跟Google和Oracle签订为期7年的云计算服务平台合约，将原本托管在自家数据中心服务器的服务数据，转移到Google Cloud和Oracle Cloud平台。这对Uber来说是一次重大变动，因为他们自从2009年成立以来，其运行一直依靠自家数据中心的服务器。
有指将服务数据转移到第三方云计算服务平台，是因为受到持续两年多的疫情影响，供应链在疫情暴发期间多次中断，导致服务器硬件供应时间出现不稳定的情况。经过两年多的混乱后，Uber决定改为采用Google和Oracle的云计算服务，期望能够借此降低运营自家数据中心和服务受阻的风险。
除了电召客车的本业，Uber近年也在不少市场推出餐饮外卖速递、生活用品代购和送货等附加服务。Uber同时选择Google和Orcale是基于运行稳定性的考虑，避免过于依赖单一服务商，在其中一方服务出现突发事故时，仍然有另一方让Uber的服务能够维持。
