孙卫东表示，新年伊始，马科斯总统对中国成功进行国事访问，两国元首就深化双边关系达成重要共识。中方愿同菲方一道认真落实两国元首共识，推动中菲关系平稳向好发展。拉萨洛表示，马科斯总统不久前成功访华，期待与中方共同努力落实好两国领导人达成的共识。
双方就中菲涉海问题坦诚深入交换意见，一致同意继续通过双边机制保持各层级密切沟通，妥处海上分歧，共同维护中菲关系和南海和平稳定大局。
