菲律宾马尼拉警区(MPD)表示，3月31日早晨，救援队在岷伦洛区(Binondo)一栋居民楼救下企图轻生的女子。
警方表示，22岁的女子是岷伦洛区Alvarado街Ligaya大楼的居民。警方于早上8点接到报警电话，称一名女子坐在Ligaya大楼六楼雨水槽的边缘。
来自马尼拉警区、菲律宾消防局(BFP)特别救援队和马尼拉减灾管理办公室(DRRMO)的救援团队立即对事件做出了响应。
当局于上午九点半左右救下该女子，期间女子多次进行反抗，甚至咬了一名消防员的腿。
经过一个小时的谈判，救援人员设法接近并将该女子带回大楼内。
这名女子告诉救援人员，她很难过，因为她的男朋友最近和她分手了。
这名女子被带到消防局紧急医疗服务部门，随后被移交给马尼拉市仙沓古律斯区(Santa Cruz)的Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center接受体检。
